Sony a7R II

Sony a7R II from the specification looks to be a revolutionary camera. Its a full frame, mirrorless (hence smaller form factor and less weight), five-axis in-camera stabilization, 42 mp resolution (great for landscape and cropping), 399 focus points. Need to see how realistic the EVF is.

Nasim Mansurov has a nice write-up on this recently announced camera.

Initial Reluctance to High Resolution

Neil van Neikerk very well summarizes what I also initially felt about high resolution.  He highlights the enormous leeway that D810 gives with output still being crisp and large with detail. I learned the same thing with my D800E.
